Abstract
Description
The archaeological record of the San Ramón 7 site, located on the lower Salado River in the Pampean wetlands, is analyzed. The sedimentary context of the archaeological material recovered is the A horizon of the soil. The material studied to date includes lithic artifacts, potsherds, a fragment of amazonite, micafragments, and a decorated pipe bowl. Numerous bone remains belonging to a wide variety of mammal and bird species were also recorded. We propose that San Ramón 7 is a pottery production site of the Late Holocene, where the teaching-learning process related to this technology can be analyzed. The dates obtained are discussed, especially the earliest which is from a pottery fragment.
