| dc.description | El tema general que nos convoca en este artículo es el estudio de las poblaciones que habitaron la cuenca del río Grande de San Juan (puna de Jujuy y valles de Bolivia) entre los siglos xi y xvi. Nuestro acercamiento es desde su alfarería, corpus conocido como Yavi-Chicha. Como objetivo esperamos brindar, a partir del estudio de las formas, colores e iconografía, una mejor definición de los elementos que componen la alfarería, evaluando los grados de variabilidad que encierra en diferentes contextos, tanto funerarios como domésticos. Por otro lado, desde una visión macro, esperamos visualizar cuál es su unidad perceptual que hace que la distingamos rápidamente de otros estilos contemporáneos. Es decir, el modo en que genera un efecto que estabiliza su percepción, y por ende su reconocimiento, en distintas situaciones sociales, espaciales y temporales. | |
| dc.description | The general theme underpinning this article concerns the study of the populations that inhabited the Rio Grande de San Juan Basin (Puna de Jujuy, Bolivian Valley region) between the 11th and 16th Century. We approach this theme through an analysis of the pottery, known as Yavi-Chicha. Our stated aim is that, through a study of forms, color and icongraphy we can achieve a better definition of the elements that make up this pottery, allowing us to evaluate the levels of variation found in it, in different contexts, funerary as well as domestic. Similarly, from a macro-perspective we aim to visualize Yavi-Chicha as a perceptual unit that can be easily distinguished from other contemporary styles. In effect, the means by which a perception is created that anchors what is known as Yavi-Chicha in its different social contexts across time and space. | |
