| dc.description | Este artículo desarrolla una visión crítica sobre la conmemoración del quinto centenario de la llegada de Colón al territorio americano. La primera parte analiza la complejidad dl sistema colonial –y en general de la historia amerciana- que no se restringe a la relación españoles-indígenas, sino que considera a la colonización española dentro de un sistema mundial interconectado. Toma en cuenta el contexto sociocultural múltiple para analizar la historia de América y la cuestión indígena y aquellas referidas a otros sectores sociales subordinados. La segunda parte trata sobre los aspectos ideológicos y políticos que enmarcan los emprendimientos oficiales argentinos referidos al Quinto Centenario, y sobre los límites de las políticas culturales oficiales, condicionadas por una nueva teoría de la modernización incluyente. La tercera parte analiza el aquel que la Antropología ha cumplido tradicionalmente como refuerzo de las ideas dominantes de la época y sus cambios recientes. | |
| dc.description | A critical view of the commemoration of the fifth centennial of Columbu’s arrival in America is developed. In the first part, the complexity of the colonial system –and of American history in general- is analyzed; the study is not restricted to the relationship between Spaniards and natives, but considers Spanish colonization within an interconnected world system. A multiple socio cultural context is taken into account to analyze the history of America, the native issue, and issues regarding other subordinate social sectors. The second part deals with the ideological and political aspects that are the frame of the official Argentine undertakings regarding the Fifth Centennial, as well as with the limits of official cultural policies, which are conditioned by a new theory of inclusive modernization. In the third part, the role traditionally played by anthropology in support of the dominant ideas of the time is analyzed, as well as its recent changes. | |
