| dc.description | El Sitio Grande está localizado en una isla ubicada dentro del curso medio del río Limay, departamento Picún Leufú, Provincia del Neuquén, en un área que se encuentra indirectamente afectada por las fluctuaciones en el nivel del lago formado artificialmente por la Represa de El Chacón. En 1997 se realizó el rescate de materiales arqueológicos en el marco del "Programa de Arqueología de Rescate" que desarrolla la Dirección Provincial de Cultura del Neuquén.
En el sitio se recuperó material lítico y cerámico, con ausencia de elementos de origen europeo, asociados a restos óseos humanos que brindaron un fechado de 890 años AP (UGA N° 9209:GRI-1-1: Sitio Grande 1), a los cuales también se les ha realizado análisis isotópico, dando un valor de -17,87 %0. | |
| dc.description | The Grande Site is located on an island in the middle course of the Limay river, Picún Leufú department, Neuquén Province in an area which is indirectly affected by the lake level fluctuations, this is an artificiallakeformed by the El Chacón dam. Archaeological remains were recovered in 1997 during the Archaeological rescue Program undertaken by the Dirección Provincial de Cultura del Neuquén (Department of Culture of the Province of Neuquen). Both ceramic and lithic artifacts were recave red at the site but no European elements were found. These artifacts were associated to human bones dated at 890 years BP (UGA- 9209: GRI-1-1: Sitio Grande 1), which have yielded an isotope value of -17,87 %0. | |
