| dc.description | El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la historia de la arqueología argentina entre 1905 y 1930 en el NOA a través de las fotografías tomadas durante los trabajos de campo hechos por las expediciones del Museo Etnográfico durante ese período. Se plantea que la primacía del objeto -considerar que sólo las cualidades de los objetos arqueológicos y no sus vínculos contextualesdaban cuenta del pasado humano operó generando un habitus de visión rastreable en dichas imágenes. Las fotografías se analizaron cuantitativamente usando variables que permitieron establecer cuáles eran los elementos seleccionados en la composición de las tomas. Se concluye que la representación diferencial de estructuras y artefactos en las fotografías, la fotografía de artefactos aislados de su contexto y el uso preeminente de planos generales son el resultado del habitus de visión generado por la primacía del objeto en un momento de conformación disciplinar de la arqueología argentina. | |
| dc.description | This paper presents an analysis of the history of archaeology in Northwestern Region of Argentina between 1905 and 1930 through the photographs taken during the archaeological fieldwork expeditions organized by the Museo Etnográfico. It is suggested that primacy of the object -the notion that only the material qualities of the archaeological objects and not their contextual links can explain the human past- generated a vision habitus that can be traced in photographs. The photographs were analyzed quantitatively using 18 variables that allowed to establish which were the items selected in their composition. It is concluded that the differential representation of structures and artifacts in photographs, the photographs of artifacts isolated from its context, and the prominent use of wide-angle shots are the result of the vision habitus generated by the primacy of the object at a time of formation of the archaeological discipline in Argentina. | |
