| dc.description | El artículo plantea la necesidad de una visión integral de los “santuarios de altura”, en toda su complejidad histórica-diacrónica, cultural y espacial. Busca enmarcar su estudio dentro una perspectiva regional, analizando asimismo su relación espacial con otro tipo de evidencia arqueológica, con la fisiografía donde se insertan los recursos naturales y las variables climáticas. Para ello, estudiamos la ladera y faldas septentrionales del Nevado de Acay (departamento Rosario de Lerma, Salta-Argentina). | dc.description | This article proposes the necessity of an integral vision of “high altitude sanctuaries”, in all their historical complexity – diachronic, cultural and spatial. Attempting to frame their study within a regional perspective, analyzing at the same time their spatial relationship with another type of archaeological evidence, the physiography in which they exist, the natural resources and the climatic variables. To this end, we study the Northern face and flanks of the Nevado de Acay (Department of Rosario de Lerma, Salta, Argentina).
