dc.descriptionPichanal 4 is a pastoral site located in the Sierra del Cajón (Province of Catamarca) at 2,700 m above sea level. It is made up of 12 structures, with enclosure 1 (isolated from the others) at the lowest part and enclosure 12 at the highest. It has been postulated that nine large, irregular enclosures may have been corrals, while the smaller spaces may have housed the shepherd on duty or stored foodstuffs and tools of the shepherd's trade. This paper expands the ceramic sample analysed and evaluates the distribution of ceramic styles and frequencies among the different enclosures of the post using statistical methods, a methodology not previously employed in the analysis of pottery assemblages from the site.en-US
dc.descriptionPichanal 4 es un sitio pastoril emplazado en la Sierra del Cajón (Provincia de Catamarca) a 2.700 m.s.n.m. Está conformado por 12 estructuras, estando el recinto 1 (aislado de los restantes) en su parte más baja y el recinto 12 en la más alta. Se ha postulado que nueve recintos irregulares y de grandes dimensiones pudieron haber sido corrales, mientras los espacios pequeños pudieron alojar al pastor de turno o almacenar alimentos y enseres del oficio pastoril. En este trabajo se amplía la muestra de cerámica analizada y se evalúa la distribución de estilos y frecuencias de cerámica entre los distintos recintos del puesto utilizando métodos estadísticos, metodología no empleada antes en el análisis de conjuntos alfareros del sitio.es-ES
