dc.descriptionEl principal propósito de este texto es mostrar los problemas teóricos y prácticos del ejercicio profesional de la antropología en el ámbito institucional del patrimonio cultural. El texto comienza mostrando cómo el autor accedió al encargo, realizado por la administración pública andaluza, de estudiar varias fiestas de la provincia de Granada con el fin de inscribirlas en el catálogo autonómico del patrimonio histórico y cuáles fueron los procedimientos que siguió para cumplimentar dicho encargo. A partir de ahí se analiza el significado de las prácticas y el discurso patrimonial de la administración andaluza y se concluye discutiendo el papel que la antropología está teniendo tanto en los procesos de patrimonialización como en la propia definición del concepto de patrimonio.
dc.descriptionThe main aim of this article is to highlight the theoretical and practical problems of the practice of anthropology in the institutional field of cultural heritage. The paper begins with a description of how the author, commissioned by Andalusian government, initiated research on festivals in the province of Granada in order to register them in the regional catalog of historical heritage, and includes an account of the procedures the author followed in doing so. The meaning of the practice and the discourse on cultural heritage of the Andalusian government is analyzed from that experience. The article concludes by discussing the role that anthropology has both in heritage processes and in the definition of the very concept of heritage.
