| dc.description | La actual epidemia COVID19 en Argentina es un detonante para reflexionar sobre dos anteriores: la de influenza en 1918-19 y la de 1956-1957, producida ambas por similares virus. A pesar de los esfuerzos desplegados por el sistema público en ambos procesos y de la experiencia tanto nacional como de organismos internacionales, no se llevaron adelante estrategias para reformular y ampliar la cobertura de manera universal, ni se realizaron otras modificaciones en la infraestructura sanitaria y social tendientes a mejorar la situación en pos de futuras pandemias. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The current COVID19 epidemic in Argentina is a trigger to reflect on two previous ones: influenza in 1918-19 and that of 1956-1957, both produced by similar viruses. Despite the efforts made by the public system in both processes and the experience of both national and international organizations, strategies were not carried out to reformulate and expand coverage in a universal manner, nor were other modifications made to the health and social infrastructure tending to improve the situation in pursuit of future pandemics. | en-US |
