| dc.description | ResumenEl arte rupestre de la región mediterránea de la Argentina poseyó singularidad estética y social correlacionada, de manera diferencial, con los ambientes litológicos de las antiguas serranías que la conforman. Al respecto, este trabajo describe dos distritos geológicos: uno comprende extensos batolitos de granitoides y el otro gneisses y esquistos predominantes. En el primero se verifican pinturas y en el segundo petroglifos cuya producción puede estimarse entre 1000 años antes de la Era y la invasión española a partir de 1573. Se analiza el carácter de las decisiones a tomar en relación con políticas de uso y preservación.Palabras claves: arte rupestre - ambientes litológicos - políticas patrimoniales. AbstractThe cave art at the Argentinian Mediterranean region possessed aesthetic and social singularity correlated to differential way with lithological environments. This work describes two geological districts: one, extensive batolitos of granitoides and another, gneisses and schists. At the first one there are paintings and, at the second, petrogliphs. That production can be estimated between 1000 years BC and the Spanish invasion from 1573.
