| dc.description | We performed a revision of the archaeofaunistic remains from Villa La Punta “Guayacan” site (Santiago del Estero) in order to reduce the error of the taxonomic determination by the addition of specimens to the reference collection and the mechanical refitting of bone specimens. We compared the results of our revision with the preliminary analysis. We observed an increase in the number of identified especimens. Moreover, we tested previous inferences made on the subsistence of the ancient inhabitants of the site from relative abundance indexes. From this analysis we obtained a new interpretation on the importance that had different resources, especially Dolichotinae rodents. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se realizó la revisión de los materiales arqueofaunísticos del sitio Villa La Punta “Guayacán” (Santiago del Estero) con el fin de reducir el error en la determinación taxonómica a través de la adición de ejemplares a la colección de referencia y del remontaje mecánico de especímenes óseos. Se compararon los resultados de la revisión con el análisis previo, observándose un aumento en la cantidad de especímenes identificados. A su vez, se contrastaron las inferencias previas realizadas sobre la subsistencia de los antiguos habitantes del sitio a partir de los índices de abundancia relativa. De este análisis se obtuvo una nueva interpretación sobre la importancia que tuvieron los diferentes recursos, en especial los roedores Dolichotinae. | es-ES |
