| dc.description | This work focuses on the study of social practices around the preparation and bound of the chaguar bags, inside the wichí communities of La Loma (Salta), which seeks approach the matter or the use of chaguar fiber understanding material culture as an active element of social relationships. Thus, fiber chaguar as products derived from it, are not considered as mere objects of use and disposal, but obtain a symbolic character and identity. Importantly, the role of women in the community and also see how this materiality that is inserted into the local craft market, and how this situation has generated hybridization processes that have re-meaning these objects. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo se centra en el estudio de las prácticas sociales en torno a la preparación y enlazado de las bolsas de cháguar, en la comunidad wichí de la Loma (Provincia de Salta), el cual busca abordar la temática del uso de esta fibra entendiendo a la cultura material como un elemento activo de las relaciones sociales. Tanto la fibra de cháguar como los productos derivados de ella, no son considerados como meros objetos de uso y descarte; sino que obtienen un carácter simbólico e identitario. Es importante señalar el papel de las mujeres en la comunidad así como también, observar como dicha materialidad se inserta en el mercado artesanal local, y cómo esta situación ha generado procesos de hibridación que han re-significado estos objetos. | es-ES |
