dc.descriptionQuebrada La Chinchilla is placed at the southern portion of the Atacama desert, near to the miner town Inca de Oro. Because of the superficial pottery, it has been possible to associate human occupation from early-pottery period to later period, and identify the manufacture of lithics and mineral beads as the kind of activities carried out at the ravine. The archaeological sites observed at the ravine are placed near to ore veins, lithic quarries, water resources and nearby flat lands, which led us to hypothesize about what kind of spatial relationship would be developed at La Chinchilla, which by logic would be focus on the cultural placement around the distribution of these specific natural elements. We applied landscape archaeological methodologies, which have been interpreted from cultural distribution according to the natural environment where they are inserted.en-US
dc.descriptionQuebrada La Chinchilla se emplaza en la porción meridional del desierto de Atacama, cerca del pueblo minero Inca de Oro. Gracias a la cerámica superficial, ha sido posible adscribir las ocupaciones humanas desde el período alfarero temprano hasta el tardío, así como determinar el tipo de actividades llevadas a cabo, orientadas a la manufacturación lítica y de cuentas de mineral. Los sitios arqueológicos se hallan distribuidos cercanos a vetas de mineral, canteras, recursos hídricos y llanos, lo que nos incitó a buscar qué tipo de relación espacial se encontraría en la quebrada, la que por lógica debiera orientarse al emplazamiento cultural de acuerdo a la distribución de estos elementos naturales de interés. Se aplicaron metodologías de la arqueología del paisaje interpretadas desde postulados que asocian el tipo de distribución cultural de acuerdo al ambiente natural en que se insertan.es-ES
