dc.description	Once the last dictatorship was over, the Bicameral Commission –constituted in the province of Tucumán in 1984 to investigate the crimes committed during state terrorism– concluded that the workers’ movement had been one of the main targets of the repressive offensive. This statement engaged in direct conflict with the “theory” of the two demons, which at that precise moment began to spread as an explanation about the causes of the coup d’etat that took place in March 24, 1976.In this paper our intent is to reconstruct the sugar worker victims as a collective. By doing this, we will demonstrate there was a plan to discipline the whole working class and decapitate the grassroots unions and the Tucuman Workers’ Federation of theSugar Industry (FOTIA). Likewise, we reflect on the methodological difficulties in the reconstruction of this group of victims. This process leads to rethinking labour relations in the sugar industry as a whole, the concealment and destruction of historical documents of that period, and the dispersion and fragmentation of any available sources.The results of this investigation empirically strengthen that statement originally made by the Bicameral Commission and, at the same time, expose the falsity of the “theory” of the two demons.	en-US
dc.description	Al finalizar la última dictadura, la Comisión Bicameral –constituida en la provincia de Tucumán en 1984 para investigar los crímenes cometidos durante el Terrorismo de Estado– concluyó que el movimiento obrero había sido uno de los blancos principales de la ofensiva represiva. Esta afirmación contradecía la “teoría” de los dos demonios, que en ese precisomomento comenzaba a difundirse como explicación sobre de las causas del golpe de Estado del 24 de marzo de 1976.En este trabajo nos proponemos reconstruir el colectivo de víctimas obreras azucareras con el objetivo de demostrar el proceso de disciplinamiento hacia la clase obrera en su conjunto y el descabezamiento de los dirigentes de los sindicatos de base y de la Federación Obrera Tucumana de la Industria Azucarera (FOTIA). Asimismo, reflexionamos sobre las dificultades metodológicas en la reconstrucción de este colectivo de víctimas que conllevan a repensar las propias relaciones laborales en la agroindustria azucarera, el ocultamiento y destrucción de documentos de aquel período, y la dispersión y fragmentariedad de las fuentes disponibles.Los resultados de esta investigación refuerzan empíricamente la afirmación realizada por la Comisión Bicameral, al tiempo que advierte la falsedad de la “teoría” de los dos demonios.	es-ES
