| dc.description | Una costumbre, en parte aun subsistente, pero de uso generalizado en los últimos años del siglo XIX y las primeras décadas del XX fue que el maestro de obra, contratista, arquitecto o ingeniero pusiera su nombre en las obras que realizaba. El sitio podía ser algún lugar del frente o uno de los balcones. Inicialmente la “firma” se realizaba en bajorrelieve y podía ir acompañada de títulos, dirección y año de realización, pero luego aparece en sobre relieve, con letras de metal o placas de mampostería, metal, terracota o incluso mármol. Efectuamos una descripción y una primera clasificación de una serie de placas o cartelas decoradas que hacen su aparición en nuestra ciudad a principios del siglo XX., así como la identificación de una serie de características significativas que se han observado en las mismas. | |
| dc.description | A custom, partly still subsisting, but widely used in the late nineteenth century and early decades of the twentieth century was that the master builder, contractor, architect or engineer included his name on the work that they had built. The place could be somewhere on the front of the work or one of the balconies. Initially, the "signature" was bas-relief and could be accompanied by titles, address and year of completion, but then appears in high relief, with metal letters or boards made of masonry, metal, terracotta or even marble. We conducted a description and a first classification of a series of decorated boards or consoles which make their appearance in our city in the early twentieth century, as well as the identification of a number of significant features which have been observed in them. | |
