| dc.description | Se analiza la intensidad del uso de Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) en la Arqueología Argentina a partir del análisis de las Actas y Libros de Resúmenes de los últimos seis Congresos Nacionales de Arqueología Argentina, que cubren un período de dieciséis años. La información se complementa con publicaciones en revistas generales de Geografía y Arqueología. Se observa un avance creciente de las investigaciones arqueológicas que abordan temas de uso del espacio/espacialidad/paisaje prehispánico/histórico y temas afines, aunque son pocos los que utilizan como herramienta científica a los SIG. Se plantea la necesidad de una mayor articulación entre marcos teórico-metodológicos de la Geografía y la Arqueología, por cuanto ambas disciplinas se abocan al estudio de la relación entre la sociedad y el medio y sus aplicaciones a la gestión del ordenamiento territorial. | |
| dc.description | The intensity of the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Argentine Archeology is analyzed from the analysis of the Proceedings and Abstracts Books of the last six National Congresses of Argentine Archeology, covering a period of sixteen years. The information is complemented with publications in general magazines of Geography and Archeology. There is a growing progress in archaeological research that addresses issues of use of space / spatial / landscape of prehispanic / historic and related subjects, although few use GIS as a scientific tool. The need for a greater articulation between theoretical and methodological frameworks of Geography and Archeology arises, since both disciplines are devoted to the study of the relationship between society and its environment as well as its applications to the management of land planning. | |
