dc.descriptionThis paper offers an overview of the research carried out in the caves with rock art located in the Sierras Grandes Provincial Reserve (Buenos Aires Province). In this limited space are the sites Cueva Florencio, Arroyo San Bernardo Cueva 1 and Arroyo San Bernardo Cueva 2, Arroyo San Bernardo Cueva 3 and Cueva La Pocha, the latter, relieved by the authors in the last year. These sites have been studied from alternative theoretical perspectives, in a disaggregated manner. In this work, the five sites were studied comparatively and an approach to the study of rock art is proposed following the iconological method of Panofsky. At the same time, an approach to the spatial analysis of the caves and their environment was carried out through the approaches of Landscape Archeology in order to establish the role occupied by these particular sites in the socio-cultural dynamics of appropriation of the landscape by part of the hunter-gatherer groups that inhabited the area. dc.descriptionEl presente trabajo ofrece un panorama general de las investigaciones realizadas en las cuevas con arte rupestres ubicadas en la Reserva Provincial Sierras Grandes (Provincia de Buenos Aires). En este espacio acotado se encuentran los sitios Cueva Florencio, Arroyo San Bernardo Cueva 1 y Arroyo San Bernardo Cueva 2, Arroyo San Bernardo Cueva 3 y Cueva La Pocha, esta última, relevada por los autores en el último año. Estos sitios han sido estudiados desde perspectivas teóricas alternativas, de manera disgregada. En este trabajo se estudiaron comparativamente los cinco sitios y se propone una aproximación al estudio del arte rupestre siguiendo el método iconológico de Panofsky. A su vez, se realizó un acercamiento al análisis espacial de las cuevas y su entorno a traves de los planteos de la Arqueología del Paisaje a fin de poder establecer el rol ocupado por estos sitios particulares en la dinámica socio-cultural de apropiación del paisaje por parte de los grupos cazadores-recolectores que habitaron el área.
