dc.descriptionThe COVID-19 pandemic produced a profound transformation of daily life in its many dimensions. In this article we analyze the appearance, incorporation and deterioration of pandemic materialities in Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina), those that were implemented in the public space as part of the biosafety protocols: posters, distance markers, facemasks and alcohol dispensers. In theoretical terms, we triangulate contributions from three different traditions: anthropological and archaeological studies on materialities, cultural chronotopies, and the anthropology of experience. Based on the photographic and ethnographic record that we produced in Tilcara during the two years of the pandemic, we propose how this context imposed a heterogeneous material regime that has left room for social creativity and the local appropriation and resignification of these materialities, with an impact on the configuration of various alterities. Located at the end of the protocols, where materialities are surviving pandemic practices, we address some interpretive keys to think of these objects as the material record of a recent past.en-US
dc.descriptionLa pandemia de COVID-19 produjo una profunda transformación de la vida cotidiana en sus múltiples dimensiones. En este artículo analizamos la aparición, incorporación y deterioro de las materialidades pandémicas en Tilcara (Jujuy, Argentina), aquellas que fueron implementadas en el espacio público como parte de los protocolos de bioseguridad: cartelería, demarcadores de distancia, barbijos y dispensadores de alcohol en gel. En términos teóricos, triangulamos aportes de tres tradiciones diferentes: los estudios antropológicos y arqueológicos sobre las materialidades, las cronotopías culturales y la antropología de la experiencia. A partir de estas corrientes y del registro fotográfico y etnográfico que produjimos en Tilcara durante los dos años de pandemia, planteamos cómo este contexto impuso un régimen material heterogéneo que ha dejado un margen para la creatividad social y la apropiación y resignificación local de estas materialidades, con un impacto en la configuración de diversas alteridades. Situados en el fin de los protocolos, donde las materialidades están sobreviviendo a las prácticas pandémicas, abordamos finalmente algunas claves interpretativas para pensar en estos objetos como el registro material de un pasado reciente.es-ES
