| dc.description | Se realiza el estudio demográfico-comparativo de la población del Dpto. Pocho (provincia de Córdoba) en dos períodos de los siglos XlX y XX. Con el propósito de esclarecer el comportamiento histórico de la misma y diagnosticar sus actuales probabilidades de reproducción y supervivencia, se estiman y contrastan los indicadores demográficos de fecundidad, nupcialidad, mortalidad, crecimiento y migración. Los resultados muestran una población envejecida, "masculinizada" y de tamaño cada vez más reducido. La fecundidad y la mortalidad han experimentado leve disminución a través de su historia, y ello se destaca aún más en la mortalidad infantil. Sumado ello a los valores negativos del crecimiento vegetativo y del saldo migratorio -esto es decrecimiento y emigración-, contribuye definitivamente a una poco favorable situación poblacional en lo que se refiere a su sobrevivencia en el lugar. | |
| dc.description | The comparative demographic study of the population of Pocho Department (province of Córdoba) was carried out in two periods of the XlX and XX centuries. In order to explain the historical behaviour of the population and to diagnose its present probabilities of reproduction and survival, the demographic indicators of fertility, nupciality, mortality, growth and migration were estimated and contrasted. The results indicated, mainly in males, both ageing and a gradually smaller population size. Fertility and mortality have undergone a slight decrease through its historic, more outstanding in the case of infant mortality. All this, together with the negative values of the vegetative growth and the migratory balance -i.e., decrease and emigration- contributed to a not very favourable situation of the population, with respect to growth and survival probabilities in the place. | |
