| dc.description | Este trabajo es el resultado de la primera etapa de un proyecto más amplio cuyo objetivo es estudiar y conservar las ruinas de una instalación metalúrgica ubicada en la localidad de Hilario (Departamento Calingasta, Provincia de San Juan, Argentina). Esta instalación estaba dedicada a la fundición de plomo argentífero para la obtención de plata y fue promovida por Domingo F. Sarmiento durante su desempeño como Gobernador de la Provincia de San Juan y Presidente de la Nación Argentina, entre 1862 y 1874, como parte de su política de desarrollo e impulso de la actividad minera en el país. | |
| dc.description | This work presents the results of the first stage of a larger project whose objective is to study and preser-ve the ruins of a metallurgical facility located in the town of Hilario, (Calingasta Department, San Juan Province, Argentina). This facility was dedicated to the smelting of silver lead to obtain silver and was promoted by Domingo F. Sarmiento during his performance as Governor of the Province of San Juan nd President of the Argentine Nation between 1862 and 1874, as part of his policy of development and promotion of mining activity in the country. | |
